Free and Premium Personal Plans

Every registered account starts on Free. A personal paid plan, such as Premium, adds the benefits listed for that account. It is separate from a kingdom or alliance subscription.

Know what you are choosing

Plan scopeWho benefitsWhat it does not provide
Personal accountThe signed-in account named at checkoutStaff roles, kingdom membership, alliance quotas, or another person's plan
AllianceThe eligible alliance contextA transferable personal purchase for each member
KingdomThe eligible kingdom and supported allocationsAutomatic personal subscriptions for everyone in the kingdom

Personal benefits may include eligible premium articles or other features shown on the plan card. The catalog is configurable, so check the current name, included benefits, price, currency, and billing period. A personal plan does not unlock every protected community article or replace its membership rules.

Start a purchase for your own account

  1. Sign in and open Personal subscription.
  2. Check the account name and current plan at the top.
  3. Select monthly or yearly billing and compare the available personal plan cards.
  4. Choose a plan, read the account-only purchase summary, and acknowledge the payment process.
  5. Select Start purchase for my account, then continue in the private purchase request.

This creates a purchase request, not an immediate charge. Follow the payment instructions supplied through that conversation. Staff verify payment before activating access. Do not send passwords, full card details, or other unnecessary financial information in messages.

If a period shows Pricing not available, it cannot be purchased until its price and currency are configured. An unpriced plan is not a free upgrade. Free itself needs no payment request.

Follow the request, then confirm access

Open My purchase requests or the existing payment conversation to read the status and reply. Avoid creating duplicate requests just because activation is not immediate. A receipt or a message alone does not mean the plan is active; verify the current-plan summary.

Active personal access shows an end date. The current workflow has no automatic renewal. When personal access expires, the account returns to Free unless another active personal entitlement applies. That does not cancel a separate kingdom or alliance plan.

When a paid article still looks locked

First confirm the correct account, an active plan, and the benefit listed on that plan. Then check whether the article also belongs to a restricted community or requires another access condition. Personal payment never grants editorial or management permission.

For a community purchase, use Subscription and Support Requests. For how community benefits combine, see Plans, Grants, Quotas, and Effective Access.
